Assignment Overview: This assignment is designed to have you introduce your topic, create your clinical question
(in PICOT format) around a burning clinical topic, articulate the components of that question, and describe the
type of clinical question you are asking. Your clinical question is for purposes of this specific course. HINT: See
your textbook for types of clinical questions.
Include a title page that adheres to APA 7th edition format and style for Student Papers and written in the third person
(so no I, me, we, us). On the page that follows begin with an introduction of your topic, and then provide rationale
for using clinical questions. Next, your PICOT question should be introduced, and its components discussed
providing thorough definitions. Important to this paper is the congruence between the clinical issue, the PICOT
question written, the elements described, and the type of question selected. Each part of the paper should be
completed in compliance with the grading rubric. The Reference page should then follow and must be in APA 7th
edition format.

Length of the paper is approximately three pages, excluding title page and references.

The assignment file should be submitted as a single Word document named as LASTNAME_PICOT.doc or, .docx (for
example WHITE_PICOT.docx). This file should be posted as an assignment to the course.

This assignment is worth 15% of your final grade and it is due by 11:55 p.m. eastern time on the Saturday following
