You will select one representative western work of the visual or pertorming arts, and one non Western work ot visual or pertorming art, both trom the same time period, (based on Western eras), and write a research paper comparing the two works and the culture and society in which they were created i.e. religion. politics, social unrest. aovernments. war etc)
The visual and pertorming arts include painting, digital art, print art, photography, graphic arts, sculpture, architecture, theatre, film and dance. You should include information about the people and culture of the eras in which the works were created and included only a few brief sentences on the artist/creator if known (no more than 3 sentences). Include an image or photo of your two art works, or a still photo from your dance or film that illustrates the cultural characteristics you have selected as your topic.
