The floor serves as a postoperative surgical floor that is designed andresponsible for the coordination of care directed through physician orders and care guidelines.The Richardson 6thfloor is a general surgery floor that specializes in providing a wide range ofsurgical procedures involving gastrointestinal conditions such as appendicitis, hernias,gallstones, hemorrhoid, thyroid and parathyroid operations. Other common procedures involvegastrointestinal cancer, including the stomach, small bowel, pancreas, and colon malignancies.Other services offered but not limited to endoscopy including colonoscopy,esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) and ERCP’s are also services offered.
